Several international agencies, organizations, standardized tests, and studies compare countries in quality education. The idea of this book focuses on the main international quality education rankings, the opportunities they provide to improve education, and the challenges the education systems may face to go up to the top levels in the international education rankings.
Accreditation standards are also used as instruments for measuring the quality of education for certification purposes. However, international education rankings are used to compare the levels of global quality
education between countries. This book has briefly explored some of the global quality
education rankings that compare K12 systems and institutions and other international higher education rankings that compare quality education among global universities. Lately, governments have shown increasing interest in participating in these international rankings and achieving top levels. Some countries could improve their education systems and move up to the top international education rankings, while others are still struggling to improve their performance.
